Hello, I'm back with another review :) I apologize for not posting for a while, I have been busy with school work now that summer has ended and school has started. Although I am planning on getting in the swing of things and I'm going to try to post every week. So please keep checking back for new posts :)
Today's featured product is an eyeshadow from Bourjois.
The full name of the product is the Color Exciting Eyeshadow and the color is in 36. It's a pinky champagne neutral color. Pretty similar to Sin by Urban Decay.
The color pay off is poor and I found that it's very chalky. It has glitter rather than sparkle and it has quite a bit of fall out. (as you will see in the swatch)
The color fades very quickly on my eyes and leaves the glitter rather than the actual color. The color is very pretty but the formula is not impressive. I usually don't dislike a lot of product but this one was a big let down for me.
All in all, I would not recommend this eyeshadow. It isn't that expensive so it wasn't a HUGE regret but I probably would've bought something else with the money if I had known what the product was going to be like.
And now onto the pictures and swatchs!

Tarte Mineral Powder Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess Review + Swatch
Today I wanted to talk about the Tarte bronzer in Park Avenue Princess.
This bronzer is a mini size but I feel like this would last a decent time. To be honest I don't wear a lot of bronzer but I decided to give this a try because I heard a lot of good things about this product.
First of all, the color is perfect. It's not orange at all but it's not a muddy brown color. It's like a golden bronzy color and it's really pretty. It compliments a lot of skin tones so it's very universal. It also has a little bit of shimmer in it which makes your skin look very glowy. It's not shimmery to the point where it's obnoxious and you look like a disco ball!
The texture is really soft and velvety as well as being very pigmented.
I also really like the packaging with the cool looking cover and the top being rather... squishy!
This is a staple summer product for me because I can just apply this with a fluffy brush all over my cheeks and I'm done with my face makeup. It looks really pretty without a blush over it and it makes my skin a golden bronze glow.
I never thought that I would love this product as much as I do but it has quickly become my staple product in my makeup collection.

Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Quad Review + Swatch
Today's featured product is the Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Quad. I thought that Clinique was more known for skin care products but I decided to try their actual makeup. To be honest I have no idea what the name of the quad is but it's a quad with 4 neutral eyeshadows.
First of all, the packaging is nice, it's simple and clean looking which I like a lot.
The selections of the eyeshadows are great. I like that there is an eyeshadow for just a simple eye look that everyone can do and pull off. A highlight, lid color, crease color and the outer corner color.
Eyeshadow description from left to right
1. A light creamy matte color.
2. Shimmery champagne color.
3. Deep charcoal brown with little bit of shimmer
4. Light taupe with a little bit of shimmer
The texture of the eyeshadows are very smooth and velvety. They're not chalky or stiff which are key qualities in an eyeshadow.
They are all equally pigmented except for the lightest matte shade on the left. It's a little bit more sheer but since it's a very light color I can see why. (the swatch made is a few swipes on the finger)
All in all, I think it's a very good quad that you can use on a day to day basis because they have very pretty but simple colors that it's appropriate for an everyday wear.

Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner Review + Swatch
Hello again, this is yet again another product review :)
I've posted a lot today but I'm on a roll! Anyway today it features a drugstore product (in the States). It is not available in Japan but I got this product while I was in California. I purchased this at Target but I'm sure it's available at other drugstores.
The Maybelline Line Stiletto is a liquid liner which helps you create a nice line on the upper lash line.
This product is very pigmented and it helps me create a nice crisp line on the upper lash line. As I mentioned a couple of times in my last posts (my current favorites series), I love winged out liner. It's sort of my statement look because it's so easy to create (for me, with a LOT of practice) and it looks really good. I feel like liquid liner is the best to create that kind of look because it looks good and it's really quick to do.
As for the brush, it's a felt tip brush applicator. It's long and skinny but it doesn't taper out to a really fine tip like some Japanese liquid liners do which I thought was interesting. Although I don't find that to be a problem with me because I can still create a thin line with it.
The consistency is nice because it's not too liquidy. It also dries fast and it dries to a slightly shiny finish. Now, I'm not a big fan of that so I like to set that liquid liner with a matte black eyeshadow. I find that it lasts longer as well as giving it a more matte look which I like better.
All in all I really like this liquid liner. If you're looking for a good inexpensive liquid liner, this is the way to go.
Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart Review + Swatch
I'm back again! Today's featured product is the Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart.
The past few posts have been things that I got at Sephora and Ulta when I was in California. As you can see I went a little over board because I'm so excited to share everything that I got! Anyway, I know this product is available in the States and other places for around $8 but I got this product here in Japan and it is around 1500 yen ($15). It's soo expensive!! Anyway, for the review...
The Lip Butters are essentially a moisturizing lip stick with a little tint but the Revlon ones are very pigmented. I was very surprised at the pigmentation because it almost gives the pigmentation of a lip stick but the lip butter is far more moisturizing for the lips. It feels comfortable on my lips because I don't like having the heavy lipstick feeling on my lips.
The color is very pretty as well. It's like a bright pinky fuchsia color, very appropriate for the spring and summer months.
